DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! I bought a complete mini split system they sell under the name Blue Ridge.

They are complete junk! They are made by Midea from China and are actually an inferior version of Midea's usual units which are mediocre at best. I have owned and installed hundreds of Minisplit units mostly Fujitsu and Mitsubishi but supply was low on those units due to COVID and I thought I would take a chance with these. BIG MISTAKE.

They never worked properly and when they did work at all they sounded like a freight train outside of my house. I had to sue them in CT Superior court to get my money back. They claimed, in official court filings, that I agreed to the sales contract (YOUR RECEIPT THEY MAKE YOU SIGN) in very small print that their goods are sold " AS IS"! They don't need to work!

Can you imagine buying good for 10's of thousands of dollars of equipment from a company you know nothing about and they slip that into you sales receipt? They then claimed in official court documents that if you want to sue them you agreed in the sales contract(AGAIN YOUR RECEIPT) that you had to do do in the State of Illinois! Neither argument stood up in court and they lost, but then they agreed to settle for half of what I was owed. I agreed just because I was busy.

I junked the equipment thinking we had settled and the time period to withdraw the settlement was over and then the withdrew the settlement which the judge through out and ordered them to pay they, are appealing that Decision. I think everyone should be aware of what a POS company this is. You can find the CT legal case by Googling State of CT JUD and search by party name. Their parent company is the Todd Arthurs Company INC, Todd Arthurs Company Inc DBA Alpine Home Air.

AGAIN AVOID THESE UNITS NO MATTER HOW CHEAP THEY ARE. I would not be slightly surprised if the positive reviews are fake and paid for by them.

I placed an order for a line set heat pump blocks and low voltage wire I canceled the order two hours later they told me it already shipped and told me not to worry I would get a shipping label emailed to me to return products they sent me some of the wrong material and now they are refusing to send me a shipping label I will be sending there material back to them and pay for it out of my own pocket I will not be doing business with this company ever again

Installed Heat pump but heating cycle didnt work. Eventually had my technician diagnose issue as a bad Mother board. Alpine sent a new board but the diagnostics and repair cost me $300 which they refused to pay

Outside unit vibrates and blows air, nothing can be gotten out of the inside unit. Remote control has no effect on it. " "Troubleshooting" section of manual has no effect. Piece of junk, confirmed by the other comments here.

THEY DID THE SAME EXACT THING TO ME ordered AC set with Free shipping, tracking company says they will not deliver to driveway. Website showed image freight service with boxes unloaded to driveway. Put notes in order page that has to be unloaded to parking lot. They took money now they tell me i need t pay additional $$$ to get it delivered. So much for free deliver and those fake big art illustrations on their website. More over company likes to do extortion!!! I have asked for a copy of the warrantee and they keep telling me their going to send it via email and I still haven't gotten it. AVOID DIRTY DEALERS

As of January the unit still is not working and no new parts have been sent. Thinking of filing a small claims case against them.

Product originally arrived damaged. Alpine was great at sending the replacement. Now that the unit is set up it only worked 4 days. I had the heating company come out multiple times and they contact support and the issue does not get resolved. Alpine stated it was a circuit board and they would send a replacement but now they won't send it and said they went through the wrong troubleshooting. 4 months later my unit still does not work and Alpine isn't helping. Also warranty is only good for parts not service or labor. I don't recommend this company at all.

I'm dealing with the BBB of IL and the Attorney Generals office of IL and the US government along with The Department that handles the clean air act. They have broken the law by selling to the public instead of through a licensed company to be installed. This is going to end up in a large law suit against them and hopefully the shutting down of this company for good.

This guy is an idiot. Manufacturers have been selling to the public for 20 years.

As a former contractor in California, I struggled with this, but nothing will happen. And the BBB is a private entity.

They have no legal recourse against a contractor. All they do is try to mediate resolutions.

Rude Customer Service and Poor Warranty Issues

I have spoke to several people "Techs" named Brian and Joseph and Nichole who were so rude and not not customer oriented it is unreal. We called in because since day one we have had trouble with one inside unit and the outside unit not cooling when going over and over and over with Brian and Joseph they could not tell you what to look for to fix the problem they told us we should of not bought one if we lived out in the country!!!!!! this has all been a laugh NOT. The outside unit came with loose service valves from the factory and way over charged with Freon We then asked to talk to a district manager or someone higher than the Tech bozo's and they said there was no higher person to speak to. I called back and spoke to a really nice receptionist and she said that their was someone higher than the Tech Bozos so she puts a Bill on the phone which was so arrogant that what he said was made to make you blow up on the phone he stated "he really enjoyed having this phone conversation" but did not offer any customer service or warranty at all. The unit is still in warranty only bought last of May and get this they have no Service Techs in Dallas TX to service your unit, all the ones we did call said they were JUNK and they could not get their service money out of this company. PEOPLE BE WARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A SCAM OUTFIT AND THEY LAUGH AT THEIR BAD REVIEWS.

I don't recommend to buy products from Alpine home air. I brought a gas furnace and they send it damage.

I was struggle trying to get another and they didn't want me. They said you can use it the way it is.

BAD customer service, bad product, they are not responsible with the warranty. I will never buy a product from that company.

I ordered a heating unit from Alpine. When it got here the unit was damaged they told me I had to file a claim with the carrier. I filed a claim with the carrier and they said it was only worth $207. When I had paid over 800 for the unit I called Alpine the lady in the customer service was completely rude told me that I must have done the damage and they inspect everything before it sent out. When I explained to her everything and told her take a look at the pictures she finally said she could send me return instructions on how to return it told me they had been sent to my email and then hung up. No thank you have a good day thank you for doing business with alpine nothing just hung up the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with in my 35 years on this Earth. Never again will I go through them and never will I recommend them to anyone I know or even anyone I hate. Worst company ever.

Called their customer support on a defective component in a recently purchased heat Pump. The guy on the other end of the phone started by stating I have no warranty. I told me to get a HVAC service company to call him and confirm that it was indeed a contractor that needed replacing. Long story short I’m a master electrician and told him this. He wasn’t interested and said check the bottom of the purchase agreement. What a slick piece of *** He had no interest in helping out with the problem and BTW it was a 94 degree day

As they took $3k for AC now they telling me pay more for delivery OR ELSE! Or else being they will not deliver goods and charge me additional ~$300 for cancelling order i never even got. OR if they want to hurt me even more the can charge for storage fee. Wait so its like pay for "free" delivery or we take all the money you have.

Sent support emails they never reply to emails. All this was on the phone, they actually handed up on me... and then i got another email threatening me with storage charges!. If you are lucky to read review before buying form them then save your money stay away from them by all means.

I submitted FTC, BBB, FBI IC3 complain as what they do is definitely illegal.

Are they coming form old crime families? So far lost $3k, stuck without AC, and few days lost with no work as had to wait for delivery truck.

That’s why you hire a licensed hvac company. All online equipment HVAC purchases void factory warranties.

Save a buck and do it yourself by... getting EPA certified, buy a vacuum pump, buy a gauge set, nitrogen set up...

or don’t complain about not knowing what the *** you’re doing. You’re to blame suckers.

I have purchased two single zone units and a four zone unit. All of these units are being used in marijuana grows, which, if you know anything about indoor growing you know the a/c has too handle ALOT of heat and a consistent work load. It’s been a bit over a year at this point and all units are in great working order. Especially given each unit is about 2000btu of heat from being maxed out 24/7. Customer service was above and beyond and shipment took 1 single day (on a free 14 day shipping selected). Granted, I live in Michigan but they truly will box up and ship your purchase in a timely fashion!

I’m shocked at all the bad reviews, but after reading through them.. I’m not as stunned..

At least half of these folks can’t even spell adequately or word there sentences properly.. sorry, but that usually screams non educated and extremely difficult to deal with forms of people. You know, the kind that make a mistake themselves and then downrate a company for ther idiocy *** some of these reviews are downgraded because “they sent the wrong part”, but if you read the review you’ll see they sent a part or wire that’s fully adequate for the job, and in fact, usually a higher graded part (outdoor wire for indoor use). Outdoor wiring CAN be used indoors, and in fact, any moist area, moist wall, crawl space or basement should have a appropriately shielded “outdoor” wire in place instead of the indoor anyways.

Good job too the idiots giving low ratings for issues only they created themselves!!

You should replace the existing gas valve hardware as a matter of course.

2a. The fact that the set screw is frozen indicates the poor condition of the system.

3. You are sitting on a bomb and should read 2.

and 2a.

4. Complain in writing to the company and send via Certified Mail return receipt requested ; be polite, keep it short (one side of one sheet) .

I have purchase several furnaces and AC units from Alpine. The only issue I've ever had was there was a delay on an item that was back ordered. Can any of you honestly say that you have NEVER ordered an item online to find out a few days later it was out of stock? come on now!!! give these guys a break. They offer BETTER than fair pricing and when I have need tech support, they ACTUALLY ANSWER the phone. How many other online companies can you say you've reached by phone when you needed assistance? I"m guessing NOT MANY. For those that claim they should have bought local, are you forgetting the reason you called Alpine in the first place? I can tell you the EXACT reason why you called. TWO reasons 1: You could NOT buy from a local distributor because YOU are NOT an HVAC contractor. 2: You could not AFFORD to by from a local Dealer. Alpine solved BOTH of those problems for you and now you want to rag on them because your sorry *** couldn't do the proper install , ordered the WRONG equipment, or told them you were a business address instead of residence for shipping so you could save a few more dollars!!! own up to your own Stupidity and stop blaming others for YOUR mistakes.
